Post Convention Depression
Every USYer knows that feeling you get after every convention. The sad, but happy feeling you get because you miss all of your friends and the great activities, but remember how much fun you have. Here is a poem about this "depression". Don't worry, the symptoms usually go away within 4 days.

We got on the bus for a four hour ride.
I couldn’t contain my excitement, no matter how hard I tried.
So many things to look forward to, so much to do,
I’m really excited to do it with you.
It’s been a long time since we were last friends,
While we’re together we’ll start some new trends.
Whether it’s singing, praying, or eating,
There are so many people to meet with a greeting.
There’s so much fun to be had all around,
Although with so little sleep, my head continues to pound.
Unfortunately this great event can’t last forever.
The first to leave they say will be Denver.
Soon the rest of us will have to depart,
The memories I’ve made will never leave my heart.
All the friends I’ve made and continue to see,
I’ll miss you all and know you’ll miss me.
When I get home, it’s not quite the same,
It’s like my emotions are playing a game.
After having fun in such great places,
My body’s trying to achieve homeostasis.
We’ve got a name for this here depression,
It’s called post-convention depression to answer your question.
The symptoms, of course, are very well known,
As hundreds of people have clearly shown.
You’ll be happy and sad and lonely and jaded,
As you think of the relationships you have created.
Some now go to synagogue more than before,
Others can’t wait for youth group programs galore.
And so now I’ll leave you with one last question,
When did you say was the next convention?
