Four Questions for the Tu B'Shvat Seder: - Other celebrations honor events
and people, why do we have a new year to honor trees? - Other days we eat many
kinds of foods, why on this holiday do we especially eat fruits, etc. which grow
in Israel? - Other days we take trees and fruit for granted, why on this day
do we think about conserving and sharing? -
In many parts of the world it is wintry and cold, so why are we focusing on planting?
We'll
have the answers to these and more all with fun in a participatory program for
everyone - all ages are welcome to come and learn, share, eat, drink and have
fun. The Tu B'Shevat Seder celebrates 3 different levels of fruits and 4 of
wines that honor the kabalistic worlds and are used symbolically to relate to
the tree cycle.
