Rabbi Skoff’s Second Bar Mitzvah
Feb 11, 2006
Please mark your calendar and plan to
join us for Shabbat morning services at
BSKI as Rabbi Benson Skoff is called to
the Torah on the occassion of his Second
Bar Mitzvah. A second Bar Mitzvah is
traditionally done at the age of 83
years. 83 signifies 70, a traditional lifetime,
plus 13, the age of a first Bar Mitzvah.
Several of Rabbi Skoff’s “students” will
chant musaph and the BSKI choir will
perform one of Rabbi Skoff’s favorite
selections.
A lunchon honoring this occassion
will follow the service.
