Minyannaire Shabbat

Minyannaire Shabbat reflected the warmth and graciousness of so many of our people who have pledged to attend a Minyan at a designated time during this past year. Despite the freezing cold, windy morning, the mood in the Sanctuary reflected the spirituality of people who have dedicated themselves to help provide people saying Kaddish a minyan in which to pray.
Many comments reflected the feeling of gratification people get from participating in a Minyan, once a week, once a month etc.

What starts out as a duty results in their own spiritual self being nourished from this participation. “I feel it is a beautiful spiritual experience for something that brought me comfort and a sense of community.

A very special thanks to chairperson Hanford Gross who, a year ago, took the chairmanship of the Minyan committee. Hanford worked very hard organizing the project.

Beautiful book covers on the Siddurim are now on the book shelf in the Daily Chapel and one can always note the names of these faithful people are who make minyans possible. We thank Hanford Gross for donating these beautiful Siddur covers imprinted with the Minyannaires' names.

Special thanks to Kitty and Hanford Gross for the delicious luncheon Kiddush for the entire congregation. The newly formed “BSKI Katering Committee”, under the supervision of Paula Hamvas, made their debut that morning. This committee certainly deserved all the raves they received on a beautiful and delicious lunch. Toda Raba to all who participated!
