“LEARNERS’
MINYAN”
We heard: we love the learners’ minyan
but don’t like breaking up the congregation.
So now, on selected dates, the entire congregation will learn together
as part of our normal worship service.
And we will make adjustments so that services end at about the
same time as usual. Each session
will have a planned format, but Rabbi Miller and Hazzan
Portner will also be happy to field general questions as time
permits. Saturday, April 10 Join us for services on Saturday, April 10 as we celebrate Shabbat Hol Hamoed Pesach with services in the round (well, really more of a U). It’s an experiment and we welcome your participation and comments following. We will be meeting in Founder’s Hall and throughout the services we will have timely explanations and opportunities for discussion and questions to make the prayers more meaningful. We encourage you to participate and ask questions. We hope to finishing our examination and learning the tunes of the Keddusha.
Saturday, April 24 Have you had a chance to explore our new Sim Shalom Shabbat Siddur? If so, you probably have noticed that it contains a wealth of information to help us throughout the service. We will start dissecting the Siddur during the Learner’s Minyan portion of the services on Saturday, April 24 to familiarize ourselves with what’s where and how and when to use it. |
