You're
invited to the live CD-recording session/concert of Klezundheit! - Missouri's
only klezmer big band - featuring clarinetist Paul Wexler, singer Leon
Burke, Mark Hochberg on solo violin and me - Lauren Buchsbaum - on backup
violin.
Klezmer is traditional Jewish celebratory dance-music from Eastern Europe,
and we mix in some Yiddish ballads as well.
| NOTE! The The live Klezundheit! CD recording session at Elliot
Chapel Saturday will start at 7:30 p.m., not 8. There may be multiple
takes of some songs to get the best results for the CD. It will
be very exciting. |
The
concert: Saturday May 17 - 7:30PM
at
Eliot Chapel (216 E. Argonne, E. off Kirkwood).
No tickets are required, but an opportunity to give voluntary donations
will be provided. Don't miss the opportunity to catch Paul's extraordinary
klezmer clarinet playing - he's the best in the region - before he takes
off
for his annual summer gig with the Lake Placid Sinfonetta in NY.
An evening with Klezundheit! is about as exciting as live music gets.
Hope to see y'all there.
