Men’s Club provides a Chumash to each Bat and Bar Mitzvah, we provide a pancake breakfast for the first day of Shaare Shalom students and parents and teachers, we erect and maintain the congregational Sukkah, as well as send out the Yom Hashoah Yellow Candles and deliver a shiva tray of nuts and dried or fresh fruit in cooperation with the Caring Committee. Men’s Club also helps our students in their Jewish educational trips through the Rabbi Skoff Educational Fund Scholarships and help with various other projects. We are always open to new projects and services that our members suggest.

We have scheduled several activities and are working on plans for several other projects.

Note these Programs Scheduled for 2012:

February 5—World Wide Wrap with SZ Men’s Club. A program to teach and encourage our youngsters to lay tefillin. This is a great program for Dads to participate in and encourage their children (boys and girls) in the Mitzvah.
March 3—Men’s Club Shabbat Services. D’var Torah and Honors to Men’s Club Members.
March 10—Purim Ball Memento Photo Booth
March (last week)-April (first week)—Men’s Club Yom HaShoah Yellow Candle Program,. We will be packing off and labeling the Yom HaShoah Yellow Candles, so the April 1 meeting will be a packing party, with snacks.

The Men’s Club needs active members to implement these programs and lead. Suggest a program, help plan it and work it and Men’s Club can do so much for our congregation. This is a great time for younger family dads to get involved and help plan programs to involve the younger children.
As always, I invite men to get involved, suggest and plan an activity and support BSKI.

Join the Men’s Club in our activities to support and aid BSKI and come to our meetings, generally the first Sunday of the month after morning services.
