Each year before Rosh Hashanah, we examine our thoughts and deeds through a special service known as selichot. The selichot service contains prayers of repentance, much like the rest of the High Holiday liturgy; however, it is unique in that the service begins late in the evening, rather than sundown, and concludes after midnight. The selichot service is an excellent way to begin your own period of circumspection and self-appraisal as we enter the High Holy Days. Please plan to stay up late and join us!
