Mitzvah Day 2011

UPCOMING BSKI SOCIAL ACTION EVENTS:

Mitzvah Day April 22, 2012

Collection cart for nonperishable food items designated for the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry is located inside the main entrance both upper and lower levels at BSKI.

Drop your old glasses off in the Lions Recycle for Sight collection boxes.  These are located in the cloak rooms on both the upper and lower levels of the synagogue.   Lions Recycle for Sight is a non-profit that provides eyeglasses for poor children and adults in the U.S. and worldwide.

Native Plant Sale and Rain Barrel Raffle

Sunday April 29 from 11 AM to 1 PM
Congregation Shaare Emeth.
The plants to be sold are very hearty, easy to grow and need less water or maintenance than traditional, non-native plants. They also are better for the Missouri eco-system. Two rain barrels will be auctioned off as well. Those unable to attend who want to pre-order in advance also are able to do so.
