Our Major Project for the year is the Production of David A. Crespy’s new play:
“Beshert; Or, The Jewish Dating Cycle”
This staged reading means that no one needs to memorize his or her part.  Our own Carol Battle will be the Associate Director, with the Playwright David A. Crespy providing his direction and guidance.

38, bright, dark haired academic, may also play Elliot, Nathan and Mirabelle

Esther Wise

Died at 87, Nadya’s maternal Grandmother

Rose Wise

Died at 92, now incarnated as a wardrobe and Challah Plate, a bit forgetful

Sarah (Sally) Wise

Died at 88, was Nadya’s maternal great aunt.  Sharp tongued and pretty

Rebecca Wise

Nadya’s maternal great aunt WASPish and wise  (Play is being revised without this part)

John Morgan

40, Nadya’s estranged husband, rigid, simple and cold

Avigdor Solomon

27, PhD student in Child Parapsychology, in love with Nadya.  Has a penchant for Bongo Drums

Maxine Finklestein

64, alive but dying of cancer, Nadya and Elliot’s mother, and a force of Nature

Woody Donaldson

50ish, Nadya’s department chair, a mystic medievalist and fine dancer.

Izzy

Avi’s inner child, dressed as a little sailor, may be played by Avi

Cousin Sol

97, Nadya’s elderly cousin, now a talking moose

Maribell

Nadya’s inner child, dressed as a ballerina, may be played by Nadya

Emcee
