Contrary to news reports that the terror attack today and yesterday ended a six-week period of “calm”, Israel Defense Forces report that in the last three weeks alone, there were 86 attacks in the West Bank and 139 attacks in the Gaza Strip. The “lull’ was only in successful terror attacks not in attempts. These included the interception by Israeli security forces on September 5th, of a car loaded with 1300 pounds (600 kg) of explosives, two containers of fuel, and metal objects designed to maximize casualties, intended for a mega-terror attack in an Israeli city. |
