The BSKI Men's Club together
with the IIEC (the Israel Information and Education Committee) are pleased
to announce the appearance and presentation by Israeli Deputy Consul David Roet at a congregational open luncheon following the
Annual Men's Club Shabbat Service, March 9, 2002.
This
presentation is jointly developed with the newly formed IIEC and with the cooperation
of the JCRC and the Israeli Government. Services will begin at our normal
time of 8:45 A.M., and the luncheon and presentation will begin about 12:30. All
BSKI members are cordially invited and urged to join with us in participating
in worship and learning about topics and perspectives not generally made available
in the U.S. Media. Space is limited so reservations are needed for this presentation.
Costs are: $10 per person, 13 and up; $5 for children between 6 and 12, and complimentary
for children under the age of 6.

special event. All reservations MUST BE PRE-PAID and will be mailed or picked
up, at your discretion, no later than Wednesday, March 6, 2002. A security check-list
will be employed to gain admittance to the luncheon. and the cooperation with
the Consul's Security Office and local law enforcement will assure all attendees
a safe and secure happening.
Following his presentation on the current
and latest situation and strategies in Israel, by Deputy Consul General Roet will
host an open Question and Answer session of approximately one hour. Please visit

Deputy
Consul General David Roet began his current appointment at the Midwest Consulate
General of Israel in August 1999. He was previously stationed in the Israeli Embassy
in Seoul, Korea where he served as Deputy Chief of Mission, in charge of Political,
Economic, and Press Affairs. There he played a key role in the reestablishment
of the Embassy in 1992. Subsequent to that posting, he completed three years as
a Counselor in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs South East Asia Division.
In this capacity, he worked to improve Israels delicate relations with South
East Asias Moslem countries, with whom Israel has no diplomatic ties.
Mr.
Roet was born in Jerusalem, Israel and spent part of his youth in the United States.
He studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he received both BAs
in Economics and Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Business
Administration. He then entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and completed
a Diplomat Cadet Course and a Commercial Attaché Course.
Mr.
Roet is married to Sigalit and they have three children.
