Prior to making aliyah several years ago, Leah and Yusef were both actively involved at BSKI and in the St. Louis community. Leah's family, the Elbaums, are fondly remembered as leaders and honored teachers at BSKI. Yusef is a past president of BSKI in addition to involvement in numerous organizations. Leah is known as a prominent St. Louis educator and was one of the first principals of our St. Louis Solomon Schechter Day School .
